Je vindt er dat typisch analoge gedrag terug, halverwege elektronische percussie, gefilterd geluid en oscillatiesweeps, met een zeer actuele update: de \u003cstrong\u003eExpression\/CV\u003c\/strong\u003e -ingang om het filter direct aan te sturen.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eVoor wie, waarvoor: klankontwerp, elektronische muziek, \"buitengewone\" gitaar\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eDe EHX Crash Pad richt zich op muzikanten en producers die graag de geluidsmaterie vormgeven in plaats van kant-en-klare geluiden te triggeren. In elektronische muziek, techno, ambient, noise, post-rock of experimentele hip-hop wordt het een generator van analoge hits (cymbalen, hi-hats, snares, impacts) en overgangen (sweeps, zaps, opbouwen). Op een gitarenpedalboard kan het ook dienen als textuureffect, ritmische accentuering of als \u003cstrong\u003eresonerend filter\u003c\/strong\u003e om een gitaar, synthesizer, drumcomputer of sampler te bewerken.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLive maakt de triggering via klok\/trigger het erg leuk in combinatie met sequencers en pulse generators, terwijl het in de studio uitblinkt in het creëren van one-shots, percussie-lagen en sound design effecten zonder ook maar één plug-in te openen.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eBediening en functies: filter sweep, decay envelope, trigger en EXP\/CV\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eDe Crash Pad bouwt zijn geluiden rond een \u003cstrong\u003eresonerend low-pass filter\u003c\/strong\u003e en een frequentiesweep. De instellingen \u003cstrong\u003eSTART\u003c\/strong\u003e en \u003cstrong\u003eSTOP\u003c\/strong\u003e bepalen het frequentiebereik van de sweep, terwijl \u003cstrong\u003eTIME\u003c\/strong\u003e de snelheid van de sweep regelt: van ultra-snelle \"zap\"-aanvallen tot langere, hypnotiserende afnames. De respons is expressief: een kleine aanpassing van START\/STOP of TIME verandert het karakter radicaal, wat exploratie aanmoedigt. Gebruikt op een externe bron via AUX verandert de Crash Pad in een \u003cstrong\u003eresonerend filter\u003c\/strong\u003e met een uitgesproken karakter, ideaal om een loop te animeren, een synth te
